County cricket team Glamorgan will return to Rhos-on-Sea next week for their annual fixture at the Colwyn Bay Cricket Club.

Beginning next Wednesday Glamorgan Cricket Club will continue the tradition of staging an annual match at Colwyn Bay Cricket Club in Rhos-on-Sea, with a Specsavers County Championship fixture against Warwickshire.

Colwyn Bay CC has staged Glamorgan’s Championship matches since the 1960’s.

The ground has witnessed some highlights for the club, such as Steve James scoring Glamorgan’s first-ever triple hundred against Sussex in 2000.

Glamorgan Chief Executive Hugh Morris, said, “Our fixture at Colwyn Bay is always one of the most highly anticipated matches of our season.

“Every year we look forward to coming to Colwyn Bay and bringing first-class cricket to north Wales so we can continue to grow the game across Wales.

“Last season’s match against Sussex was a great advert for first-class cricket and we are excited to be able to return to Colwyn Bay this year when we play against a strong Warwickshire team.

“I hope supporters will flock to the Rhos-on-sea ground over the four days to cheer the team on.”

Tickets are £15 for adults; £10 for students; £3 for under 17s and £33 for family tickets.
