THE barrier of sight loss will be overcome through the mediums of photography, mosaic, painting and woodwork in Llandudno this month.

Following positive feedback from last year’s event, the Blind Veterans UK’s Llandudno Centre will be taking part in the Helfa Gelf Art Trail - Wales largest open art studios event.

Since 1915 Blind Veterans UK has considered the study of art and craft skills to be an important element of rehabilitation for our blind veterans.

Visitors to the studio will be given the opportunity meet with members of the team to discuss how the barriers often created by sight loss can be overcome in order to allow those with visual impairments to participate in a number of disciplines.

A range of art work produced by our blind veterans will be exhibited and visitors can learn more about how arts and crafts can contribute to our veteran’s well-being -as well as meeting some of the artists behind the work.

The studio is open from 10am until 4pm at the Blind Veterans UK Llandudno centre on Queen's Road on Saturday 15 September only.
