MORE than £100,000 has been pledged to keep a Conwy Valley former drovers’ inn alive and develop it into a community hub.
The campaign to secure the future of the 400 year old Bull Inn at Llanbedr y Cennin has hit the half way mark in its attempt to raise the necessary £200,000. The pledges have been made following two public meetings and publicity in the Pioneer. The Bull Inn closed last May, but a group of villagers launched the campaign to raise funds to buy and run the pub run and develop it into a hub for local community activities.
Group chairman John McGuiness, said: “Our public meetings and publicity in the Pioneer has got us this far, now we face the next target of getting commitments for the remaining £100,000. We have our own website www.oldbullconwy.wales with a link to a pledge form.
