A PUBLIC meeting will be held at Talybont Memorial Hall to raise the outstanding £100,000 needed to keep a former Conwy Valley drovers’ inn alive and develop it into a community hub.
The meeting to save the 400 year old Bull Inn at Llanbedr y Cennin, will be held at 7.00pm on Wednesday September 26.
The campaign to save the inn has already raised commitments for half the target of £200,000.
John McGuiness, chairman of the group, responsible for running the campaign to save the inn, said: “Our public meetings and publicity in the Pioneer has got us this far, now we need another push to hit the target."
Mr McGuiness added: "We have our own website www.oldbullconwy.wales with a link to a pledge form."
The Bull Inn closed its doors for the final time last May, but a group of villagers quickly launched a campaign to raise much needed funds to buy and run the pub and develop it into a hub for local community activities.
