RESIDENTS and staff at a Craig-y-Don care home have staged a hi-tech synchronised tea dance to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society.
The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (RMBI) home, Queen Elizabeth Court, Craig-y-Don joined other RMBI Homes across the UK to take part in the event, connecting with each other via Skype.
The fun afternoon included live music from local singer Tudur Wyn, tea leaf readings by Mystic Claire, who is also the Home’s receptionist and even a dog show. The fun was washed down with a traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches, homemade cakes and tea.
Activities Coordinator, Gary Carr, said: "Our residents loved using Skype to see what residents in other Homes were getting up to.
"It proved to be a great way for them to connect and make new friends."
