A charity dog walk has raised more than £200 for a Llandudno-based charity.

The North Wales Pet Owners group organised the walk for last weekend to raise funds for St David's Hospice.

More than 40 dogs and their owners group hit Llandudno's West Shore on Sunday for the event which organiser of the group, George Good, has originally just been a weekend morning stroll with fellow pet owners.

Mr Good said: "Originally, it started off as just a group meet and greet, but I thought, 'Why not see if we can raise a little money for a worthy cause at the same time?

"We started off from the putting green, by the pond went down to the black rock break water and then back.

"It was a fantastic turn out and seeing so many dogs, with their owners descending on Llandudno's Westshore was a sight to behold.

"Honestly, for me, there is nothing better than seeing so many dogs run, chase and play amongst themselves.

"Loved it and I want to thank all those who turned up & those who had contributed to the charity too."

The group through the walk to date has raised about £250 with more donations set to come in over the coming weeks.
