Tributes have been paid to a Rhos-on-Sea man who died while on holiday in Sri Lanka.
Andy Critchett, holidaying with his wife Lesley, went swimming off a beach on the Island in South Asia.
It is understood a strong current swept him away and he drowned.
Mr Critchett was a former manager at Halfords Autocentre in Llandudno and his former work mates were among those to pay their respects.
A Halfords spokesperson said: “We heard the tragic news that Andrew recently passed away.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends at this very sad time.
"We are working closely to support all those affected by this tragic accident.”
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said they have contacted authorities following the inciudent.
An FCO spokesman added: “We are in contact with the authorities in Sri Lanka following the death of a British man, as well as the tour operator that is supporting his family.”
