A landlord was placed under a twelve-month community order with rehabilitation after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman.
Surjit Singh, aged 43, of Victoria Park, Colwyn Bay, must register as a sex offender for five years and pay £440 compensation and £620 costs.
He was also fined £435.
Magistrates at Llandudno heard he was a data processor but likely to become unemployed.
Defence solicitor Graham Parry said: ”The whole incident has come as a huge upset to Mr Singh and his family.”
After the incident he had sent apologetic texts.
The last thing Singh wanted was registration as a sex offender, the lawyer added.
Prosecuting, Diane Williams said Singh had been convicted after a trial.
The assault caused “a considerable amount of distress.” The victim had lost trust in people.
The prosecution said the case involved hugging and kissing.
