A ROAD was closed after a van caught fire near Rhuddlan.
The A547 was shut following the incident near St George Road at about 8.35am on Wednesday.
North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene. The fire service said the vehicle was "well alight" as its crew tackled the blaze.
Motorists travelling between Llanddulas and Rhuddlan had been warned to expect delays.
A fire service spokesperson sad the cause could have been an electric fault in the vehicle.
"We were called to a van fire this at 08.35hrs this morning on the A547 near Rhuddlan," the spokkesperson said.
"One appliance attended – the van was well alight on arrival.
"The crew used a hose reel jet an a set of breathing apparatus in dealing with the incident, as well as Holmatro cutting equipment to access the rear of the vehicle.
"Police were also in attendance.
"The cause was down to suspected electrical fault.
"No one was hurt in the incident.
"The stop was called in at 9.22pm"
