PUPILS from a Conwy school have won an inter-language Xmas Factor competition.
The German Wales Network competition saw year 7 students of Ysgol Aberconwy learn a German Christmas song and make a video of themselves performing it.
The competition, called the Xmas factor, offered the prize of German masterclass at Bangor University with German lecturers and native speakers, was launched to promote the German language.
A spokesperson for the school said: “I am delighted to say that The Ysgol Aberconwy entry won hands down.
“They gave up several break and lunchtimes and even a maths lesson to come up with the goods by the deadline.
“This will be an exciting opportunity for the pupils and we look forward to going to Bangor to claim our prize.”
The winners were Abbi-Nicole Williams, Jessica Glennon, Sheree Evans, Rosie Krol, Dylan Syddall, Ethan Finnegan, Molly Stubbs-Davies, Mabli Watson-Jones, Sophie Cannon, Jessica Davies, Anisha Edwards, Casey Dawson, Seren Hughes, Samuel Michael, Mustafa Koca.
