PENNAF Housing Group, which includes Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, has already issued contracts for more than £20 million creating 214 homes in the coming year.
And now the Group has announced it is set to award in the region of £21.8 million worth of further contracts for additional building work on new developments in 2015/2016.
Pennaf is working with local authority partners and the Welsh Government as well as sourcing private finance for now developments across the county areas of Flintshire, Wrexham, Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, and Powys.
Contracts already awarded for 2015/2016 financial year include housing schemes for single people, couples and families as well as specialist accommodation such as the transformation of an existing residential home in Chirk into a new centre of excellence as a care home with dedicated dementia care services.
The Group is also continuing to support regeneration work in Flint, Colwyn Bay and Rhyl with home buy opportunities as well as creating new affordable homes to rent.
In the coming 12 months, subject to planning approval on some developments, Pennaf will award contracts for a further 190 housing units which will include two extra care housing schemes with self-contained apartments for older people, as well as general housing across the region.
“These are exciting times for the Group. The contracts already signed and in progress, together with those we have scheduled within our business plan for the current financial year represent more than £43 million of building contracts across North Wales,” said Pennaf chairman Mike Hornsby.
“In many cases the developments have been made possible through Welsh Government funding, secured in partnership with local authorities with Pennaf providing private finance towards the developments.
