A MAN has spoken of his anger after vandals attacked the roof of his car.

Scott Garner, of Clos Belyn in Llandudno Junction, left his house yesterday morning (Wednesday, September 7) to find that a sharp instrument had been forced through the top of his vehicle, causing "considerable" damage.

Mr Garner, who has reported the damage to North Wales police, believes that the incident happened between 9.30pm on Tuesday (September 6) and 8am the following morning. His car was parked on his driveway at the time.

"The damage consists of two punctures/cuts to the roof," he said.

"Both punctures/cuts look like the result of a sharp instrument (possibly a screw diver), and the instrument used has penetrated through to the inside of the vehicle.

"The vehicle is parked off road on my drive, so I am concerned that someone has purposely come on to my property to to commit an act of vandalism.

"Needless to say, I rang the Police immediately to report the damage.

"I am meeting an estimator tomorrow with a view to assessing the damage to the vehicle, however I am concerned that car is damaged to such an extent that it may very well be written off."

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed the incident had been reported and is currently under investigation.

Anyone who has information can contact North Wales Police on 101 with reference number U135 820.
