Two cars went on fire after a collision on the A470 in Llandudno Junction yesterday (January 11).

North Wales Police confirmed that they were originally called to a collision at 5.22pm between a Corsa and Audi near Black Cat roundabout on the A55 but the Corsa quickly caught fire, followed by the Audi.

No one was injured and the A55 was partially closed whilst emergency services tackled the blaze.

A North Wales Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "A Llandudno fire crew were called out at 17.25pm to attend a crash on the A470 that involved two vehicles.

"They were there to help clear traffic, help those who were involved and one set of breathing apparatus was used at the scene, as well as one fire hose to put the fire out."
