LLANDUDNO striker Toby Jones expressed his delight after re-signing for his hometown club.

The talented forward signed on for the forthcoming season at the Giant Hospitality Stadium, and he arrives at the club following a spell last season at relegated Rhyl.

The fan favourite returns after his previous spell saw him greatly assist in the club’s triumph in the Huws Gray Alliance which saw them promoted the Welsh Premier League in 2015.

He has also played for the likes of Airbus Broughton, Neath, Caernarfon Town and Conwy Borough.

Manager Alan Morgan, said: “I am glad he has come back to play for the club and I’m looking forward to seeing him in pre-season, at the time I was disappointed to lose him when we won promotion and I’ve been after him since January, but he wanted to stay and help Rhyl in their relegation fight, which I commend him, and I also add my thanks to Rhyl for their cooperation.”

Jones, added: “I would like to thank everyone at Rhyl and I’m thankful for the opportunity Niall (McGuinness) gave me, I can understand the club are disappointed in my decision, but as a player I’ve always wanted to play at the highest level possible and when the opportunity presented its self to re-join Llandudno I couldn’t turn it down.

“I’m happy it has all been sorted now and I can concentrate on next season. I’m looking forward to working with Alan again and helping the club push for that top six finish, and hopefully a second spell in Europe.”
