A PRIMARY SCHOOL in Llandudno has closed for a second day in a row after an investigation was carried out into the safety of key areas of the site.

Ysgol Ffordd Dyffryn, at Dyffryn Road, closed to all pupils yesterday (bar Year 5 pupils on an external trip) due to a problem with boilers at the site, which the school said had to be investigated further.

After conducting further investigations, the school announced its closure today (March 5) having identified a need for "essential maintenance work" at key areas of the site.

The school added that updates on its opening on Wednesday would be made in due course, with arrangements in place for home learning activities.
