A DRIVER has been arrested after testing positive for drugs during a police crackdown in North Wales this weekend.

North Wales Police officers have been taking part in Op Valor this weekend to help tackle drugs in the area.

A number of vehicle stops were conducted and traffic offence reports complete for #FATALFIVE offences.

The Fatal Five are classed as follows; Careless driving, Drink and drug driving, Not wearing a seatbelt, Using a mobile phone and Speeding.

One driver was also arrested after testing positive on the roadside for cannabis and cocaine.

Their vehicle was also seized under section 165 of the road traffic act, as it had no insurance.

A statement from North Wales Police added: "There are also ongoing investigations into dangerous driving and possession with intent to sell class B, keep an eye on the page for updates on this.

"We also conducted checks on the most vulnerable in our community who are at risk of exploitation. PCSO's and PC's also conducted high visibility patrols.

"As usual, we'd like to thank our community for their support and the information they provide as this helps us to target the right people and places and keep our community safe."
