AN A483 slip road in Wrexham, which closed due to damage to traffic lights following a crash, has now reopened.

Junction 4 on the A483, joining the A525 Ruthin Road, reopened this afternoon.

North Wales Police announced its closure following a two-vehicle crash on May 7 which damaged the traffic lights in the area.

For safety reasons, the slip road closed soon after the incident causing congestion to build at Junction 5 (Mold).

Drivers including all public transport have been suffering delays of up to 25-minutes during rush-hour traffic this week.

Traffic Cymru North & Mid has now confirmed the faulty lights were fixed earlier today (May 9) and the road is now safe for drivers to use.
