MARK Webster’s next Alexandra Palace challenge takes place early next week.
The conqueror of 13th seed Mark Walsh takes on 20th seed Peter ‘One Dart’ Manley in the second round of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Champion-ship next Monday, December 28.
Manley has gone close to winning the world title, losing three finals to Phil Taylor in 1999, 2002 and 2006.
Despite being the seeded player, Manley is not the favourite to win against Webster, with the Denbigh ace classed as an odds-on 8/15 shot to reach the last-16.
And after starting the tournament as a 100/1 option to claim the title, Webster’s chances have been halved to 50/1 after the Walsh victory.
The pair will be on stage at 7.10pm next Monday and the winner will play either fourth seed John Part or 2008 runner-up Kirk Shepherd in the third round next Wednesday, December 30.
