A CAR park attendant busy booking parked vehicles has been caught leaving his car straddling a double-yellow lined kerb.
Shoppers taking advantage of the council owned car park behind Llandudno Town Hall on Monday, December 28 were shocked to see the warden breaking the rules of the road to issue tickets to over-staying cars.
Visitor to the town, Stephen Wright, had his camera handy when he saw the attendent's car.
He said: "I took this just after we parked up around 1:30pm. I thought it beggars belief that the warden would exercise such blatant hypocritical behaviour to walk around Town Hall car park, booking cars and issuing tickets while the whole time he was parked on double yellows on a location that does not make it easy to get out the car park.
"I'm guessing there must be some sort of law that permits him to do what he did (otherwise it would be negligent behaviour!) but as servants to tax paying individuals like myself I feel they have an obligation to behave in a way to not upset the people who pay their wages!
"There were a few people passing comment as they were walking through the car park, who were equally as dumb founded as I was!"
Paul Evans, Group Engineer for Traffic, confirmed parking over double-yellow lines was allowed in this case.
He said: "Exemptions to traffic regulations exist that allow emergency services, utility workers and local authority officers to carry out their function. This is the case in this instance."

Do you think wardens should be allowed to park like this to book over-staying motorists? Or should there be a special reserved bay in the interests of safety? Have your say by commenting below.
