Recycling and refuse service in Denbighshire

RESIDENTS are being asked to set any recycling or refuse out for collection on their usual day this week as Denbighshire County Council is looking to provide a normal service (week commencing Monday, January 11).

In addition to the normal services, the council has also deployed extra resources to collect grey and blue wheely-bins which could not be emptied last week.

Where weekly collections are provided (e.g. pink sack refuse collections and orange bin food waste recycling collections) these will be collected on the normal collection day.

Council vehicles are still encountering some difficulties in reaching areas on higher ground and where streets are on a gradient.

However, further attempts at collection in these areas will be made as conditions improve.

A spokeswoman for the council said: "All four recycling parks are open for residents who are able to get to them and the Saturday morning recycling service at Corwen planned for January 16 is expected to go ahead.

"Once again, the council wishes to pass on its thanks to residents for their patience during the disruption to services."
