COLWYN Bay's home match against Mossley on Saturday fell foul of the weather leaving players on the sidelines yet again.

The Bay have not been in action since a New Year's Day loss against Radcliffe.

Only two games survived the conditions in the Unibond league First Division North with AFC Fylde beating Woodley Sports 2-1 and league leaders Lancaster City beating Salford City 4-1.

Colwyn Bay remain in second, six points behind Lancaster, but have played two more games, with third-placed Curzon Ashton two points behind the Bay.

The Seagulls will hope to be back in action this Saturday away against mid-table Warrington Town on Saturday.

A friendly match against Welsh Premier side Bala Town was due to be played at Llanelian Road last night (Tuesday).

The club's sponsorship deal with The Co-operative’ has been matched by the Sports Council of Wales to ensure that Colwyn Bay Football Club’s newly launched football in the community programme (CBFITC) gets on track for future success.

CBFITC will invest the full amount of £15,000 received into the development of an inclusive football programme, which through a wide range of initiatives will cater for local needs and aspirations.

The programme will encourage young people, particularly those with a disability and from disadvantaged backgrounds, to participate in football and other sports on a regular basis and will include under 11 and under 13 girls' fun football sessions, under 12 pan disability sessions, parent and child football learning sessions and Futsal taster sessions.
