Colwyn Bay 2 Warrington Town 3 (Tuesday)
COLWYN Bay suffered yet another defeat on Tuesday night with a loss to Warrington.
It was the Bay's sixth defeat in eight games, as Neil Young's side missed the chance to climb back into the top three of the Unibond Division One North.
Ian Sheridan broke clear before the interval to give the Bay the lead, but early in the second half Warrington scored twice through Tony Evans and a superb 25-yard shot from Chris Cahgan.
Bay were level again through a Sheridan penalty but on 87 minutes Bay keeper Chris Sanna collided with Evans and Cahgan put the penalty away.
Halifax Town 3 Colwyn Bay 0 (Saturday)
COLWYN Bay suffered their fifth defeat in seven games when they lost to high-flying Halifax Town.
The Bay remain in fourth place and well in the mix for promotion but the team's current run of results is giving teams behind them the chance to catch up.
On Saturday two goals in a four-minute spell just before half-time made it almost impossible for the Bay to get anything from the game.
Halifax's Danny Lowe scored the first on 34 minutes when he slotted home a rebounded shot which Bay keeper Chris Sanna had done well to tip onto the bar.
It was not long before James Dean doubled the lead for Halifax when he picked up the ball with his back to goal, turned, made space and shot into the bottom corner.
The Bay held on until half-time but it was more of the same in the second half with a lacklustre and unimpressive display from the Bay going forward.
Chris Sanna saved a Richard Marshall penalty after Jimmy Kelly had tripped Tom Baker but the game was put out of the Bay's reach when Scott Phelan slotted home.
Bay manager Neil Young has said he is looking to strengthen the squad with a winger and striker at the top of the list.
The club has announced promising forward Ian Sheridan has signed a contract to keep him at the club until the end of the 2010/11 season.
The 20-year-old is the side's top scorer this season, with 14 goals in his debut season after signing from AFC Liverpool in the summer.
Defender Daniel Meadowcroft has returned to Northwich Victoria after his loan spell came to an end.
Last Tuesday Colwyn Bay slipped to a two goal defeat at home to league leaders Lancaster City on Tuesday night with goals from Adam Farrell and Paul Jarvis.
Colwyn Bay were in action last night (Tuesday) against Warrington and play Chorley at home on Saturday.
