COLWYN Bay sailed through to Saturday’s play-off final last night after a victory against Curzon Ashton.

Glenn Rule took a shot from 25 yards which almost gave Colwyn Bay an early lead, but the shot was saved by Curzon keeper David Carnell.

Ajay Leitch-Smith battled for the home team, twice getting close to a result.
Before the half time whistle, Curzon Ashton, took the lead thanks to a volley from Michael Norton off Adam Jones' headed ball.

As the second half began the hometeam kept on pushing, looking to build on their lead.

Midway through the half a hand ball by David Birch gave the visitors a break, allowing Ian Sheridan to score the equaliser.

With their newfound confidence, Colwyn  Bay fought on on with Lee Davey heading in a stunning cross from Chris King to put them  in the lead.

Curzon Ashton tried to equalise in the closing minutes, but couldn't get through the strong defence of Colwyn Bay resulting in a win for the visitors.
