FOOTBALL-loving youngsters will be getting into the World Cup spirit late next month at Prestatyn Town.
The club's Football in the Community programme, in partnership with the Welsh Football Trust, is holding a World Cup Cymru camp from July 26 to 28, in the hope of finding the Welsh football stars of tomorrow.
The camp will be held at Prestatyn’s Bastion Gardens home and provide the opportunity for boys and girls aged five to 12 to enjoy playing the game in a safe, fun, confidence building and learning environment.
Trevor Dutton, director of Prestatyn’s Football Association of Wales-accredited community programme, said: “To mark the start of the world’s greatest football tournament, we are inviting players of five to 12 years of age to come along for the first two days free of charge. The third day is just £10 .
“You can share in the excitement of our very own World Cup Cymru event. There will be certificates for all participants at the end of the week as well as spot prizes for those players who demonstrate good sportsmanship and fair play.
“I think it’s crucial that we encourage these youngsters and nurture their talent, and, who knows, they may one day bring the World Cup to Wales.”
