PRESTATYN Town will have the honour of playing in the new Welsh Premier League’s Super 12s first match.

The Seasiders visit champions The New Saints on Friday, August 13, looking to avenge their 5-0 drubbing on the opening night of the previous campaign.

Prestatyn's opening home fixture will be against Haverfordwest on Saturday, August 21, but they then face trips to Newtown (August 28) and Aberystwyth Town (September 5).

Following Rhyl's ejection from the top tier of Welsh football, Bangor City will be the Seasiders' festive fixtures this year. Prestatyn travel to Farrar Road on Boxing Day, before hosting the return on New Year's Day.

The regular season is scheduled to end on January 15 when Prestatyn host Port Talbot Town, by which point all sides will have met twice and the league will then split into two.

The top six clubs will again meet twice, with the bottom six clubs playing each other on two more occasions in a 32 game season.

A busy period has seen Prestatyn discover their opponents in the Loosemore’s League Cup competition. The opening stage will see the Seasiders travel to Bala Town in the week commencing August 31, with the second leg at Bastion Gardens the following week.

The winners will face Bangor in the second round, with the first leg due to be played at Prestatyn on September 21 or 22 and the return a fortnight later.

Prestatyn’s first team are back in action tomorrow (Wednesday), when they travel to Rhydymwyn (kick off 7pm). They are due to host Ramsbottom on Saturday (3pm).
