AN UNCLAIMED Conwy lottery ticket, has sparked an appeal for players to double-check their tickets.
A Lotto prize of £140, 104 has yet to be claimed in the county. The lucky winner would have matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the national Lotto draw on Wednesday, July 21.
The winning lottery numbers were 8, 16, 25, 27, 28, 34 and the bonus ball was 32. The ticket-holder has until 5.30pm on Monday, January 17 to make their claim. If a winner does not come forward before the deadline the prize money and interest generated will be donated to the National Lottery’s good causes project. The scheme has raised £24 billion through the sale of tickets since the lottery began in 1994.
A spokesman for the National Lottery said the prize money could make a huge difference to somebody’s life. He said: “We're urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.
"Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa - someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win,” he added.
To jog Lotto players' memories, Airplanes by Bob Ft. Hayley Williams topped the UK singles chart at the time, while Eminem was at the top of the album chart with Recovery.
Residents in the area may have visited Venue Cymru in Llandudno between 22-24 July 2010, where Billy Elliot - The Musical was being performed by the Llandudno Youth Music Theatre.
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
