CONWY Quay will be rocking to the sound of live bands this coming weekend as part of the town’s annual river festival.
Prominent Conwy pub The Liverpool Arms and the Conwy River Festival are sponsoring the three day free event which takes place on between August 13-15.
Chris Ryan, of promoters Backdrop Events, said: “Bands have been playing down on Conwy Quay for nearly 20 years now. It’s a fantastic little festival for all the family and a great showcase for local talent as well as more established bands from further a field."
Europe's most established tribute to metal-gods Megadeath - Megadeath UK - will be headlining on Friday night with support by local acts Hogchild, Audiosun and Courteous Thief.
On Saturday, Backscratch will be leading the proceedings alongside Bethesda hill country blusters The Cane Toads and local acts The Racketears, Cyra Elia and Wil Williams.
And completing the live music marathon on Sunday will be Berooz, rising act Foma, The Peakz, beat poet Martin Daws and back by popular demand the fantastic Welsh Pink Floyd tribute show Pinc Ffloyd.
The bands will be playing in a marquee on the Quay next to The Liverpool Arms.
Chris added: “What’s nice about it is that attracts all ages not just young people. Every year the event just gets better and better, and continues to stay free, which is always a bonus!”
