THE smooth sounds of Ol' Blue Eyes will be coming to Llandudno this month in the live show Sinatra Live At The Sands.
The Pioneer caught up with Sinatra extraordinaire Stephen Triffitt to talk about the show and why Frank's music is so enduring.
"I think it's feel good music, big band music, and that's what people get when they see the show," enthused Stephen when asked why Frank Sinatra is still one of the most popular and recognisable voices more than 12 years after his death.
"You get artists like Michael Bublé who are famous for pushing out some of these songs again. But there's nothing like hearing it the original way it is supposed to be done."
Authenticity is clearly the key for Stephen who has dazzled audiences all across the globe with his startlingly accurate impersonation of the beloved singer.
"When I was 13 I first heard Frank Sinatra - All The Way was the song," he remembered. "I just like his voice. My first ever album ever was the Greatest Hits album - in those days he hasn't done My Way or Strangers In The Night.
"With All The Way I listened to it over and over again, and tried to emulate the person singing. It must have stuck and people were telling me I sounded just like him."
The 'people' were right. Following his memorable performance in the final of Stars In Their Eyes in 2000 ("I was runner-up to Freddie Mercury!"), he secured a place performing in a show following Sinatra's life in his own stomping grounds: Las Vegas.
Now Stephen is back on the stage in this celebration of Sinatra's finest performance.
"Basically the second part [of the show] is a recreation of the album Live At The Sands with Count Basie - even down to the chatter in the middle," he explained. "It's me being Sinatra to the best of my ability, and even talking like him too. The first half is other songs Frank did with Count Basie and in the 60s.
"It's a show I've been wanting to do for quite some time. You've got to make sure if you're going to do it, you do it right. If anything goes wrong, I'm responsible so I make sure it will go right."
On stage with Stephen will be a 17 piece big band - currently the largest touring big band in the UK - to keep the authenticity of Count Basie's own band.
Promising to appeal to die-hard Sinatra lovers and casual listeners alike, his confidence in the show is well placed considering the glowing accolades critics have placed on him. But for Stephen it's all about the music.
"It's music to click your fingers to," he said. "The audiences just love it."
