St. Asaph 50 all out
Llandudno 51-0
Llandudno won by ten wickets

LLANDUDNO bounced back from last week’s first league defeat with a vengence, hammering St. Asaph in a ten wicket victory.

Having taken no wickets last week, Tudno’s star pace bowlers Jack Rimmington and Gordon Kerr made amends in this one-sided win, taking all ten wickets between them.

This was Rimmington’s best performance of the season, finishing the day with six for just 24 runs, whilst Kerr was just as devastating, removing four for 26.

Rimmington struck in his first over, clean bowling opener Gareth Jones, before Kerr almost made a hat-trick, bowling overseas batsman Trevor Bauer and then having Chris Campbell caught by Sam Rimmington at wicket keeper.

Two more quick wickets brought the sensational scoreline of three for five, but some resilient batting steadied the ship for the Saints, who reached 50 before Jack Rimmington ended the innings.

Kerr finished with four wickets and four maidens from his eleven overs, whilst Rimmington took six and also recorded four maidens.

Not to let the bowlers take all the plaudits, Duncan Midgley then smashed 48 not out from 21 balls, including eight fours, to seal a comprehensive victory.

Llandudno can now seal the league championship in next week’s match with Hawarden Park at the Oval.

Llandudno II 207-5
Bersham 111 all out
Llandudno won by 96 runs

LLANDUDNO seconds kept in the hunt for one of the top places in Division One with a 96 run victory over Bersham.

Skipper Matt Lambe and Aled Williams almost reached 50 for the first wicket, but Lambe was caught out just one short.

Williams and Owen Jones then put up a partnership of 86 before the former fell for 78 as Llandudno pushed on for batting points, eventually declaring in the 45th over on 207 for five.

After a Williams run-out in the first over, Llandudno cranked up the pressure on their Bersham opponents, and Andy Christian bagged a brace of wickets to wrestle control of the match.

Regular wicket taking from Chris Hardy and Matt Lambe, who took three and two wickets respectively, took control of the match, with Bersham declared all out on 111.

Buckley 100 all out
Llandudno III 103-1
Llandudno won by nine wickets.

LLANDUDNO thirds kept up their relentless march towards the Division Five title with a nine wicket victory win over Buckley seconds.

Neil Gallagher took four wickets in five overs to restrict Buckley to just 100 runs all out, with Shaun Kitchen supporting on three.

With a modest total to chase down, Llandudno wasted no time in securing the win, with Tom Bleasdale scoring an unbeaten 52 to take his side half-way to victory.

Shaun Kitchen added 39 to secure the victory and take Llandudno another step closer to the championship.
