Man in hospital after collision

A MOTORIST is in a critical condition after being rushed to hospital following a road traffic collision in Llandudno.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the A470 Conway Road near the junction with Vicarage Avenue at 11:05pm last night (Thursday), which involved a silver Peugeot car.

The driver, who is local to the area, was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd where he remains in a critical condition.

Family members are in attendance at the hospital.

As part of the investigation, the drivers of three other vehicles suspected of travelling in convoy with the Peugeot have been arrested.

  • Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact officers from the western roads policing at Llandegai on 101, or call the police non-emergency number on 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) or 0845 607 1002 (English line).
