POWYS County Council has asked residents to be patient after there were disruptions to rubbish collection during the bad weather.

The Council say that they are receiving an increased number of calls, and that responses may be delayed because of this.

A spokesman for the Council said: "Every effort is being made to collect rubbish and recycling from households across the county and the crews have been out every day but some collections have been disrupted."

Residents have been advised to put their rubbish and recycling out on their normal collection day and if it is not collected after two days then to take it in and put out again the following week.
