A WELL-KNOWN Colwyn Bay pub is back in business.
The Imperial Hotel has been closed for two months but last Thursday reopened with a night of special entertainment.

New landlord Carl Phillips, 27 originally from Hull, has been working in the pub trade for ten years and said he wanted to turn the Imperial into a popular nightspot in the Bay.

Mr Phillips, who ran the Prince Madoc three years ago, said he hopes to form close links with the local community and police.

He said: “I am hoping to speak to the police about setting up the Best Bar None Scheme which will involve working with the police, community members and the local authority to make sure that everyone enjoys a fun and safe night out.”

The bar will be running Challenge 21 and will employ trained door staff on Friday and Saturday nights.
