A COUNTRY park has been shortlisted in a battle to find Wales' best picnic spot.
The Great Orme nature reserve and park, Llandudno, will be up against nine other locations in Wales and may be given the chance to represent the region in the national final. The competition, organised by Warburtons, will take place between May 5 and
May 11.

The overall winner of the contest will receive a £1000 cash bursary for the site and a plaque to display. Each regional winner will be presented with a £500 bursary towards the maintenance of the site.

Jonathan Jones, Director of Tourism and Marketing for Visit Wales said: “Everyone has a different idea of what makes an ideal picnic spot and everyone has memories of having a picnic somewhere close to their heart. We hope that people show their support for their favourite by voting and making one of these Welsh wonders the ultimate picnic spot in the UK.”

To vote for your local picnic spot access www.welovebread.co.uk. Alternatively, send your vote to c/o Brand Development, Warburtons, Hereford House, Bolton, BL1 8JB. The closing date for the regional round is Friday, May 16 and Wales' regional winner will be announced week commencing June 2.
