TWO schools in Colwyn Bay have been given outstanding results following an inspection.
Lyndon Preparatory School and Rydal Penrhos were awarded a glowing report by Estyn education inspectors.

Rydal Headmaster Patrick Lee-Browne said: “We are delighted with many aspects of our first Estyn inspection and would like to thank the inspection team for their thorough, professional and very supportive approach. The school is pleased that many outstanding features have been reflected in the report.”

In six of the seven key question areas, Estyn judged the schools to be grade 1 or 2, ‘Good with outstanding features’ and ‘Good features and no important shortcomings.

The report praised ‘the respectful attitudes that pupils show to their teachers and to one another’ and commented pupils are ‘well-mannered, courteous and confident’.
