Although supposed to be showing off activities ideal for Spring, attendees of Surf Snowdonia's Great Outdoors event were forced to compete with cold and wet conditions.

The event was aimed at showcasing North Wales' finest adventure clubs and what they have to offer.

Groups including Colwyn Bay Water Sports, Rhos-on-Sea Cycling Club and North Wales Sub Aqua Club were in attendance for the event which was held on Saturday at Surf Snowdonia.

The event was followed by the Family Drive in Cinema which proved a popular option amongst families.

Surf Snowdonia, in a post to their website prior to the event, said: "We love living and working here in North Wales. And one of the things we love most is being part of a brilliant community of fellow adventurers.

"It seems like a great time of year to be getting outside a bit more and trying new things."

This weekend Surf Snowdonia will play host to its next big event when Soundwave presents Kaluki and Cafe Mambo.
