Staff at the RSPCA Bryn-Y-Maen Animal Centre, Colwyn Bay, are looking for a home for Monty a snowy coloured gentle giant cat.

He is a four-year-old domestic shorthair, who is looking for a calm and peaceful new home to match his chilled-out personality.

He has been in the RSPCA’s care since June, after he was seen by a member of the public straying in the Conwy area with a badly wounded tail.

Monty was not microchipped, and an owner could not be found – with one local resident indicating his family may have moved out of the area, leaving the poor cat behind.

RSPCA Bryn-Y-Maen Animal Centre's Melanie Kermode said: “Poor Monty has been with us for a number of months, and we're desperate to find him the perfect forever home.

“He's a big white cat, with a kind and gentle soul - and is looking for a chilled-out home to match his relaxed personality.

“Monty would prefer to be the only cat within the home, but could live happily with children over the age of ten years-of-age. He's an independent cat, who would thrive on the opportunity to get outside and explore.

“Anybody interested in giving Monty a home should contact Bryn-Y-Maen Animal Centre, which is open between 11am and 4pm every day except Wednesday, tel: 0300 123 0745, email: brynymaen@rspca.org.uk.”

Monty is one of dozens of animals based at the Centre looking for a second chance of happiness in a new forever home. Bryn-Y-Maen rehomed 453 animals in 2016.
