COLWYN Bay are to host Llanrwst United in Round Two of the Welsh Cup on Saturday (Kick-Off:  2pm).

Third-tier Llanrwst secured their place in round two after victory against Conwy Borough on penalties at Gwydir Park last month.

Barry Owen’s side have also beaten Bethesda Athletic and Boded in this season’s competition.

The Roosters are currently third in the Ardal North West and have only lost once in the league thus season.

Bay in comparison are 10th in the JD Cymru Premier after last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Bala Town.

“Saturday’s game v Llanrwst will be a good test for us,”  Evans said.

“They are flying high at the top of their league .

“We are looking forward to doing the work this week ready to go and give the Seagulls something to cheer about on Saturday.”

Bay reached the semi-finals in 2022, losing 1-0 to eventual winners The New Saints.

Members from Colwyn Bay’s and Llanrwst’s junior teams will be mascots at Saturday’s game at the 4 Crosses Construction Arena.
