A QUANTITY of expensive jewellery was stolen from a Craig-y-Don property this week and North Wales Police have issued a public appeal for witnesses.

Insp James Keene stated the robbery took pace early on Tuesday afternoon, he said: “We are making an appeal to anyone who may have seen five people leaving the Craig y Don area with scarves over their faces and wearing baseball caps, to get in touch with us.”

He added: “The people were believed to be travelling in a black BMW car.”

The items stolen were: two gold and diamond rings; six 22 carat gold rings; two 22 carat gold bracelets of Clogau gold; two rado watches; a quantity of cash some contained within a gents black wallet (including several £50 notes); a large black jewellery box containing an Asian 22 carat gold necklace; three 9 Carat gold chains and a jar of £1 coins.

North Wales Police also said they want anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in and around Craig y Don and Mochdre between 12noon and 2pm on Tuesday, March 27, or who may have information relating to the burglary to call officers in West Conwy on 101 quoting reference 18300041086.
