Two men have appeared in court today (FRI) accused of robbing a newsagents’ store at Penrhyn Bay, Llandudno, of cash and alcohol.
Darren Pomeroy, 21, of Maes Refail, Henryd,Conwy, and Matthew Ward, 22, of Chapel Street, Penmaenmawr, were remanded in custody by magistrates at Llandudno until June 4 at Caernarfon crown court.
A defence application for bail for Ward was rejected.
A woman shop assistant at the village’s Premier Broadway store had been allegedly threatened with a knife by Pomeroy.
