Llandudno's lifeboat house at Craig-y-Don will be open to the public for the first time on three days during the Christmas holiday.

It will be open from 11am until 3pm from Wednesday 27 until Friday 29 December.

An RNLI Llandudno spokesman said: "This will be the first opportunity for the public to see the inside of the new building and to take a close-up look at the station's 25-knot Shannon-class lifeboat William F Yates.

"Many local people contributed generously towards the cost of both the boathouse and new lifeboat, and we hope many of them will come along to see for themselves the modern facilities and equipment they have helped to provide. We do ask visitors to note that dogs, with the exception of assistance dogs, cannot be admitted to the building.

"It is planned to hold similar open days in January."
