The Tardis, Aardman and a Harry Potter illustrator all ascended on Venue Cymru on the weekend.

Thousands attended the ninth annual take pART event over Saturday and Sunday participating in a number of activities and workshops or simply marvelling at the entertainment on offer.

Aardman, famous for his hit show Wallace and Gromit, was there showing participants how to make their own morph, along with author Sibeal Pounder (Witch Wars) and illustrator Johnny Duddle (Harry Potter) while the Doctor Who Tardis was also on display.

Conwy County Borough Counillor Julie Fallon has attended all nine take pART events and said it was a fantastic.

Cllr Fallon said: "This year again was a fantastic success. There was such a diverse range of activities and my daughter loved it. I really can't thank the organisers enough and also the number of volunteers that help to make the weekend so memorable."

Take pART curator, Sarah Ecob added: “I look forward to the take pART weekend each year, it’s wonderful to see so many young people engaging in the wide range of activities we offer and all leaving with huge smiles on their faces.
