THE first spring ladies lunch has been organised to raise funds for Llandudno’s St David’s Hospice.

Hickory’s Smokehouse restaurant at Rhos-on-Sea has created a special menu for the event which is planned for Thursday April 19.

Hickory’s General Manager, Craig Gibson said: “We are really looking forward to hosting our very first ladies lunch.

“We are going all out to make the afternoon as glamorous as possible for all the ladies and raise as much as we can for the hospice. Our team really wanted to support a local charity and St David’s was the natural choice as it has helped so many local families.”

St David’s Hospice Events Coordinator, Daisy Magill said: “We can’t wait to be a part of the spring ladies lunch.

“The live entertainment, auction, food and of course free flowing fizz should make for a brilliant afternoon.

“There are some great prizes up for grabs including a bouquet of flowers from Craig y Don’s Scent With Love, a Sunday lunch for four courtesy of Plas Coch restaurant in Anglesey and a hamper of deluxe gins.”

The menu will be: canapes, smoked southern fried chicken lolli-pop, buttermilk & honey dressing, mini brisket mac n cheese bites, lobster and prawn magic dusted corn chip, grilled halloumi and smoked tomato slider.

Main course: wood fire grilled chicken breast, sweet roasted carrot, supergrain salad, sunblush tomato and balsamic dressing.

Dessert: Peanut butter toffee chocolate brownie with Hickory’s home churned vanilla ice cream.

Free flowing fizz and a cocktail are included in the £35 price.

The event starts at 12noon, to call Hickory’s on 01492 550444.
