An exciting month for comedy fans will see a Colwyn Bay promoter stage a staggering five nights of stand-up.

In addition to Stand-up at the Seaside's usual monthly slot at The Station, organiser and side splitting compere Dave Rothnie is launching a special series of Edinburgh Festival previews featuring Scott Bennett, Chris Washington, Gavin Webster, Brennan Reece and legend Tudur Owen along with a stint at Llandudno's Craft of Comedy fringe.

Rothnie said: "There’s something for everyone this month and we’re really lucky to be able bring such a brilliant array of talent to Colwyn Bay."

The extra courses of delcious comedy begin on June 16 with a one-off special hosted by Radio 4's Marcus Brigstocke at the Tabernacle in Llandudno featuring a stacked bill of Colwyn Bay favourites Ignacio Lopez, Noel James and Kiri Pritchard-McLean.

Towards the end of the month, a three-night run begins on Wednesday, June 27 with a double bill from two of the circuit’s fastest-rising stars Bennett - a recent support for Rob Brydon - and Washington, who is tipped for stardom, was nominated as best newcomer at last year’s Edinburgh festival.

The quality laughs continue on Thursday, 28 with Geordie legend Gavin Webster performing his ‘I am Stand-up Comedy’ Show and the returning Brennan Reece,

Finally, Welsh comedy giant Tudur Owen will wrap things up on Friday 29 with his brand new show ‘Undemanding.’

The following day, Stand-up at the Seaside returns with stars Mandy Knight, a comedy great, along with wacky Canadian Wes Zaharuk and the wonderful Harriet Dyer.
