Residents across the county continued a popular Boxing Day tradition last week.

Hundreds of participants braved icy cold waters in Llandudno, Deganwy and Colwyn Bay for Boxing Day dips in the the hope of raising money for charity.

The Lions of Llandudno's Boxing Day dip attracted 131 residents, while only a dozen were brave enough to enter the waters for the dip in Deganwy and Colwyn Bay.

Conwy Mayor, councillor Bill Chapman said while only a dozen took part in the Deganwy dip a large number of spectators turned out to cheer on those brave enough to take part in the tradition.

The Nickson family were particularly impressive at the Deganwy event, with Ged, Mary and Dom Nickson taking out the award for their efforts on the day.

Final amounts raised by the Boxing Day dips are still being tallied but are set to benefit a number of charities in the area.
