THE search for a 59 year old Craig-y-Don man who went missing earlier this month continued over last weekend.

Tim Evans was last seen the Thursday before Easter, when he walked out of his home without a coat, wallet or phone.

His wife Maria Evans, who works as a nurse in a local medical practice said: “We are continuing with search and rescue dogs, and held a public search took place last Saturday, but to no avail.

“I greatly appreciate the efforts of all the people who took the time to come out to walk wooded areas and others who sailed boats around the Great and Little Ormes scouring the shoreline. Also the work the team from British International Search and Rescue Dogs in the search has been tremendous.”

“Rob Morris, team leader of British International Rescue Dogs, said the charity has its headquarters in Llanfairfechan and has been deployed to disasters abroad, the last being in Pakistan. It has 14 volunteers and seven qualified dogs and a further six under training.

Rob said: “Dogs have much a much keener sense of smell than humans which is immensely helpful in searching for people.”

Maria added: “Tim has had a lot of health problems, primarily a spinal condition which caused him chronic pain. He was waiting to go to Liverpool to investigate the cause. He also suffered from depression. He is a family man, but is quite insular and introspective.”

“We are desperately worried about him and what might have happened.”

Tim is approximately 5ft 5″ tall and of large build.

North Wales Police continue their enquiries and ask for anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 22034.
