Rock is very much alive and well in Prestatyn.

Bangor three-piece The Stash will bring their thumping rhythm and blue- influenced alternative rock to Archies on July 17.

Following a blistering hour-and-a-half set at the North, Rhyl supporting the inimitable Glove last month, they are returning for another dose of their contagious chemistry and punk attitude.

The band’s appeal can only be described as discovering ‘a stash’ of the very best rock records and combining all the very best moments into the ultimate sound.

Skilfully combining a range of influences including The Cure, Frank Zappa and The Velvet Underground, lead singer Emily Sherratt channels both Patti Smith and Iggy Pop in equal measure for a joyous retread of good old fashioned rock reminiscent of The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s more disciplined moments. Also appearing are blues-influenced duo Heart Athletes and singer/songrwriter Finnlay Kulavuz.

The music starts at 9pm. Admission is £3 on the door.
