FIVE-STAR Llandudno Town picked up their second win on the bounce under Deiniol Graham with a 5-2 result against Llangefni.

A four-goal haul from Lee Thomas inspired the win, as Llandudno picked up their second win on the bounce to the delight of the new manager.

”I am pleased the way we played at times with a makeshift side and that’s two wins on the bounce,” he said.

“The game changed in the second half and we looked a lot more comfortable, but I am disappointed in the way we conceded two, maybe a bit of complacency set in.

“We are looking forward to a few players coming back into the fold in the next few weeks as we look to continue to improve”.

After a tense start, Tudno opened the scoring with their first effort on goal, as Lee Thomas cut the ball back from the bye-line and drilled in the opener past former Town keeper Steffan Holden.

New boy Darren Gowans came close to adding a second three minutes later, with Holden turning his effort behind for a corner, and the save proved vital for the Islanders as they drew level on 19 minutes through Rory Corlander.

Llandudno continued to press the Islander’s backline with Dean Seager, Wyn WIlliams and Robbie Knowles all coming close, and on the stroke of half time the latter played an inch-perfect ball through to Thomas, who rounded the keeper to restore Town’s superiority.

A towering header from Paul Roberts shortly after the break made it 3-1, and Thomas completed his hat-trick with a cool finish on 53 minutes.

Town continued to press and could have scored more but for some wasteful finishing, and a slip from Steve Aspinall allowed Sion Owen to pull one back in the final minute.

But Thomas had the final word, curling a sublime finish into the top corner just before the whistle to complete a comprehensive victory.
