Llandudno Town 1 Llanrhaeadr 0
A LATE winner kept up Tudno’s mid-season Cymru Alliance revival as substitute Ross Rule pounced in the 89th minute to net a 1-0 win over Llanrhaeadr.
The victory was Llandudno’s fourth from five games and boss Deiniol Graham, who took up the reigns at Maesdu Park at the start of last month, said he was enjoying his return to management.
"Today we played with confidence and an engery we have been striving for from start to finish,” he said. “We do need to find the way to finish off the chances we are making, but I think it is coming and someone will be at the end of a big score soon.
"It seems as though players here respond to having locals in charge and its good to be back after being away for three years.
“I enjoy the manager's role and while needing to crack the whip now and again, what we want is for the players to enjoy playing with team spirit - the essential ingrediant for a winning side."
As Llandudno dominated the early stages, Lee Thomas and new signing Darren Gowans were both denied by a superb double save from visiting keeper Lee Davies.
Andy Rooney saved well from Tom Evans early in the second half and produced a string of saves as the half went on to keep his side in the game.
Rule came on for Dean Seager with eight minutes remaining and fired in from a goalmouth scramble with the final whistle looming.
