OUTSTANDING Llandudno FC continued their rich run of results with a spirited 3-2 win over Penrhyncoch at the weekend.

Two first half goals put Tudno in control, with Lee Jones slotting in from the spot after a foul in the box on Joe Morgan, who then crashed a diving header in off the upright.

Pen looked much sharper in the second half though, and drew level through a deflected Stuart Frazer effort and Mark Egan’s 70th minute strike.

Having enjoyed the majority of the play, Llandudno grew frustrated as the tie became scrappy, and a second spot kick from Jones was saved late on by Pen keeper Lee Jenkings.

But at the death skipper Sean Eardley, who picked up the Huws Gray Player of the Month award for November, swung in a cross towards Morgan, who teed up Darren Gowans to smash the winning goal into the top corner.

CONWY UNITED drew their third game in four matches, coming from behind to finish 1-1 with Llanrhaeadr.

Ben Wright struck on 67 minutes to give the hosts the lead, but the Tangerines levelled a few minutes later through an own goal.

Both sides get back on the field in the new year, with Llandudno hosting high-flying Porthmadog and Conwy visiting Llangefni Town on January 2.
