Kev's team tame Tigers

REIGNING Champions Tudno Tigers were held by Kev’s Team in the game of the week in the Conwy Futebol League.

Grant Montgomery and Joey Jennings were on target for their respective sides in a 2-2 draw, with Grant joining Leave My’s Jake Snape at the top of the early season goalscoring charts with five each.

Another clash between the league’s top outfits also ended all square as Barstuds and Leave My drew 3-3. Craig Bisby, Mike Jones and Chris Chapman were on target for Bar, with Tom Cad, Ryan Jones and Mark Montgomery replying for LM.

The Incredible Misfits were also unable to win, drawing 2-2 with Cool Runnings.

John King and Trevor Gardner ensured they stayed joint top on seven points, with Lee Jones and Chris securing a point for the Cool boys.

Intellectuals edged a tough contest with Barakuda 3-2 thanks to strikes from Dan Garner, Carl Horriude and Neil Catherall, with Tomas Zilka and Sieroconski Marel scoring for the Yellows.

A Mark Brown double and one from Todd Davies helped Wed Bandits to a 3-0 finish over Hardly Athletic, and Greatness were trounced 7-1 by Noisy Neighbours as Luke Roberts bagged four goals. Gaz Sharp (2) and David Jones completed Noisy’s scoring, with Ste Penrose responding.

Team Reem also picked up a big win, with Matthew Gilmour firing a hat-trick, Steve Lopez scoring twice and Dani Roberts completing the scoring in a 6-1 win over Truly Irresistible, who had Danny Hughes on target.
